The above quote is regarding a recent gang rape that took place in Richmond, CA involving at least 20 participants and spectators.

A 15 year old girl was raped in the back alley of a high school homecoming dance Saturday night. 19 year old, Manuel Ortega a former student of Richmond  High, was arrested after fleeing the scene and faces charges of rape, robbery, and kidnapping. Another teen, a 15 year old was arrested and faces felony charges of sexual assault. There is indefinite physical evidence that she was raped by at least four men, but based on witness/suspect statements police suspect up to 10. The girl was found unconscious right around midnight and taken to the hospital by helicopter.

This is just grotesque and inhumane. It disgusts me to hear about stories like this, some people you can’t help but wish horrible things upon them. To be able to go through what they did, they don’t deserve to live. That poor girl will be traumatized for life and it would not be surprising if she hates so much in life, or even takes her own. Just sad.

As you can obviously tell, “Boys in the Hood” is stuck in my head. I have not been able to write an entry for a few weeks, and hopefully I can stay on track this time.

Let me fill you “gangstas” in on what I’ve been up to lately:

I was single for about four days, but I’m a sucker for gorgeous women so I took her back

School has been at the top of my stress list for quite some time now. I am at ASU for a majority of the day (four days a week) and a few hours on Fridays. FML. I’ve been volunteering at Banner Thunderbird Hospital and it has been entertaining to say the least. Obviously, I can’t say too much about what I do because it violates a sacred oath I took which permits severe consequences to all transgressors. Haha. Actually, I am in the Behavioral Health wing Tuesday and Thursday for two hours; Saturday and Sunday, over at the ER doing a bunch of gangster shit:)

Overall, volunteering is a great experience which allows me exposure to the medical field, I do however feel annoyed by the overly egotistical RN’s. Don’t get me wrong a lot of them are nice, but there are those who just think they are something of a divine nature. Well nurse-who-thinks-she-is-the-shiettt, I will make your life hell once I become a doctor. Muahaha. Muahaha. Muahaha. Enough of that.

Life has been good to me, and apparently the UofA football team seeing as how they are ranked 20 in the BCS standings woot! I am still a Wildcat at heart!

On the news today,they announced that the FBI recovered 52 children from a prostitution ring and arrested 60 child pimps involved. The total number of children rescued from prostitution now stands at about 900, with hundreds more still on the streets. What the hell goes on in the minds of these sick children-traffickers?

An old acquaintance once told me that the great Michelangelo at 87 years old, inscribed the words “Ancora Imparo” in a sketch book of his. It is a Latin term for “I am still learning” or “Yet, I am learning”, this is being said by a man whose mere name entails mastery in artistry. Who are we to say that we know enough about anything? Everyday is a constant learning process in which we must recognize the good segments and expand upon those, but also isolate the negatives and try our best to avoid them.

I could not write very much today and obviously I didn’t write anything yesterday; you can imagine a medical school bound student wouldn’t have very much time to spend in leisure activities. Thanks again for all of you who read this!

One of my favorite movie quotes, from Wedding Crashers, says a lot about what the ideal “true love” should resemble. Prior to last year, I had never been in a relationship longer than a month or so. I was never one to get “caught up” with someone because for starters, my guard was always up and secondly, I had never found anyone to keep my interest long enough. What I find to be rather preposterous is when your 13-year-old sister is claiming to be absolutely “head over heels in love” when really the comprehension of the term isn’t quite there yet. Then you have the high school best friend who claims to be in love with their partner of 4 months and that they are absolutely destined for one another, little did Amy know that Rob was sleeping with his ex the past three weeks. I am a firm believer in fate but the reality is that only once there is sincere compassion, unconditional trust and hella (shout out to the Norcal folks) intimacy. Love takes time. It does not happen over night and couples really need to give each other time to develop these fundamental pillars of a loving relationship. I fell for a gorgeous, funny, tall girl on June 29, 2008 and to this day she still has my heart.  No relationship is perfect and couples almost always have struggles. Partners need to be understanding of each others feelings and emotions, communication is key, and there must always be a middle ground to where you can come back to after a huge fight.

Lol I know right? Hey, shit happens and that’s life. Men fall for women; that is what God intended (nothing against homosexuals). It is nothing to be ashamed of though; my baby is stubborn, but no matter what I’m still her man.

I’ve been a firm advocate of David DeAngelo’s methods and spent a majority of my adolescence preaching that a man needs to evict his inner wuss before having success with women. However, a time comes when you throw those philosophies behind you because they don’t work for long-term relationships. STOP! In no way am I suggesting a man be a complete wuss to his lady, but don’t be an ass after you have been with someone for a while yo. It doesn’t make you cool to put your girlfriend down.

“What a wuss!” Lol, thanks guys.

There is a lot I want to discuss about SEX, LIES and CHEATING, but those are topics for another day.

“Three teenagers have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 16-year-old boy whose beating was captured on amateur video.”

Why is it that so many times when we see people commit heinous crimes, we do not intervene?

16-year old Derrion Albert, an African American honors student, was beaten to death by four or five guys. Chicago is where this brutality took place, gang violence is believed to have some influence. One story is that Derrion may have rejected the gang’s request to join them and ergo, they beat him with two-by-fours…to death. What sickens me isn’t the fact that it happened, that is nothing strange to this increasingly barbaric society, but the notion that someone can videotape this incident and yet find no way to help the victim is dismaying. So many times in society we witness detestable events, but find no way to embrace a moment of heroism and save another human being in obvious peril.

I am not generalizing and inferring that everyone is a coward for not stepping in, certainly there are legitimate reasons for resulting as a bystander. College Football Fanatics in particular; that Oregon vs. Cal game was ridiculous along with many others. What happened to Jahvid Best and his five touchdowns? Doo Doo! Tim Tebow suffered a concussion and is questionable going up against LSU. Alabama destroyed Arkansas. Boise State is trucking along and remain in the top 10. USC, after losing to Washington is still somehow in the top 25 following a victory over Wazzu. OSU dropped a goose egg on the fighting Illini. Naples, Florida is the setting to this tragic story of domestic abuse at its worst. Mesac Damas, 32, brutally slayed his wife and five children whom were all under 9 years; the fatalities  included an 11 month old daughter. Damas claims that it may have been his mother-in-law’s evil spirit or spirits of other devilish entities that influenced his horrific actions. The man took a one way flight from Florida to Haiti in an obvious attempt to flee the country. However, FBI issued a warrant for his arrest and notified the Haitian government authorities of the at-large fugitive. Damas was later arrested and questioned by reporters and one of the questions was “Are you going to go to heaven?” to which Damas answers, “right now, yeah, right now.” Apparently, he would have killed himself but did not “because if you kill yourself, you’re not going to heaven.”

How fu**ed in the head are people getting? I mean seriously, everyday on the news you hear more and more outrageous things. Take this example, 49-year-old Mackenzie Phillips, former child star and daughter to Mamas and Papas founder John Phillips, has come out and told the world that the night before her wedding (she was 19) she had sex with her biological father. No, it didn’t end there, for years onward they continued this incestuous relationship until finally they realized “WTF!”. I only put one exclamation point there but you can imagine I would say it with a thousand. There were also drugs involved in all of this so kids, if you take anything from this, don’t do drugs.

Last week, a University of Hofstra  student claimed to have been gang raped by five men. Four of the guys were arrested on charges of rape, while the fifth was still at-large. The aforementioned girl told investigators that while at a night club one of the men took her phone and left with the intention of luring her out of public eye and once outside, another man was waiting with a rope. The tale goes that they took her into a bathroom and while she was tied up, the five men took their turns with her. Police didn’t allow for the gentlemen to prove their innocence and they were immediately jailed.

What ever happened to justice? “Innocent till proven guilty.”

Well it turns out, prosecutors received information about a cell phone which may have been used to record the “rape” and that it in fact shows the act was consensual and not against her will at all. So she then admitted that oh yeah, I actually agreed to let them all gang bang me and really I’m just a dirty whore.

More like guilty till proven innocent. Bullsh*t.

What do you think about this classic case of “crazy bi*ch syndrome”? Why would she even involve police in the first place? Maybe she felt like five was too much and that this time Jesus might not be too forgiving?
